Domestic violence songs

One of our most popular articles has been domestic violence country music songs. This was originally done because of #musicmonday on Twitter. Blog and website visitors have asked for more songs with domestic violence themes. We're glad to comply.

Several of  you have mentioned wanting this information for papers at school.  In today's society it's possible to be surrounded by music with this theme without even realize it. We applaud your efforts to raise awareness by looking at mainstream music.

So, here we go with our second list. It's a start but it won't capture everything. Be sure to add your suggestions in the comment field below. We've also made it easy for you to share this post with others and to "like" it. Feel free to use the new features.

Martina Mcbride; "Independence day" and "Broken Wings" are both favorites of mine. I am a D.V. survivor.

Thanks Becki,
I'll add Broken Wings now. We have the other one on our country list. Both are terrific songs. Can you think of any others?
