Website and blog sponsors are needed credit cards accepted

Website and blog sponsors are needed. Can you help?

Any amount helps us change lives. A drop down menu on the side starts at $25 for a one month sponsorship. (Don't worry. We can use smaller amounts too.)

Would you like to sponsor us with a monthly donation of at least $3? We would appreciate it. Credit cards can now be accepted by fax or email.

All donations benefit our general fund. Here are some examples of how donations may make a difference. Let us know how you can help by emailing hello@hopeforhealing.org.
  • $3 per month adds up to $36 per year. -- That buys paper, stamps and office supplies for a month.
  • $10 buys a copy of Does God Still Love Me to encourage a victim of sexual or domestic violence.
  • $20 sponsors webhosting for 1 month
  • $25 sponsors our newsletter or blog for 1 month
  • $35 buys a Saturday lunch when we work with juvenile offenders for 1 month
  • $45 pays the phone bill for 1 month
  • $65 helps pay for outreach supplies
  • $80 buys a needed software upgrade (one-time donation)
  • $100 sponsors 10 copies of Does God Still Love Me (Sometimes enough for 1 shelter!)
  • $150 purchases a digital camera, card and batteries
  • $200 sponsors a public outreach event. (one-time)
  • $300 sponsors a one time training event.
  • $500 helps sponsor our annual fundraising event.
  • $1,000 helps sponsor our annual fundraising event
We appreciate any help that you can give.

iSearchiGive Helps Raise Money to Fight Domestic Violence

iSearchiGive users you have done it again! The funds you raised for the August 31, 2009 check from iGive is $28.55.Give yourselves a pat on the back! You have used iSearchiGive to raise money to fight domestic violence and improve the lives of the people we serve.

For those of you who do not know, iSearchiGive is a Yahoo powered search engine. Whenever you do a free search from this link you will donate .01 to Hope for Healing.org.

That may not sound like much but you can see that it adds up! Here's a link to a previous blog entry about getting our last check. This is going to be our third check that we have received this year. We are really excited about receiving it.

Plus, when you shop online through the iGive link and join a tiny portion of your purchases can help victims of domestic violence. iGive has lots of participating stores.

So far, I have personally donated to Hope for Healing.Org by:

Ordering a wireless router from Circuit City
Using Choice Hotels for vacation stays. I used the Econo Lodge, Quality Inn and Comfort Inn.
Purchasing business cards from Vistaprint
Using Amazon.Com to buy a book

And I've used iSearchigive as my internet search engine.

Downloading the free iGive toolbar made it easier to donate and to keep track of my donations. After downloading it the searchbox sits near the top of my browser. There is a window that helps me keep track of how much has been raised in all for Hope for Healing.Org. Really, it's a neat little gadget.

I hope that you will consider joining iGive or using iSearch. They are two free programs that make it easier to help victims of sexual and domestic violence. We appreciate it. Our clients appreciate it. I hope you sign up today.

Thanks so much!

Homeless Promgoer Gets a Gown

This is so exciting. I have to share it here!

Last week a department store donated some beautiful formal gowns. This is a rainbow assortment in several sizes and styles. You should have been at the office when we unpacked the boxes! We were excited to receive them.

Yesterday we got an email from another agency. The person is trying to find a prom gown for a teenage girl who is homeless. She wants to go to her senior prom. The magical night of a lifetime that is taken for granted by so many teens across the nation is impossible for the homeless. Maybe someone has one hanging in a closet they will loan?

Or maybe a kind donor has already seen to it that she has a dress? A volunteer will be hard at work steaming them all today.

We can't wait until she comes to try them on!

Your donations of time, items and money for rent and expenses is what make it possible for this girl to get to her senior prom. We thank you. I know she will too!
