PICK Program How Not to Date a Jerk

Today we found out about the P.I.C.K. Program on How Not to Date a Jerk (or Jerkette). We felt that this information fits in well with Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

We caught up with Rev. John Crabtree today in Oak Ridge, TN to get the full scoop. He is a trainer trainer on the program and had lots to say. You can download the free podcast on Voices of Hope but here's the gist of the conversation.

The program can be useful for anyone who is going through the dating process. Rev. Crabtree especially recommends it for college age students or young adults who are actively dating.

Students in the class learn what some of the warning signs are and how to avoid people who exhibit them. (Click here for some warning signs.)

It is important that the presenter take a training class before trying to present P.I.C.K. on How Not to Date a Jerk (or Jerkette). This is the best way to learn to present the information.
