Hope for Victims Lights Holiday Remembrance Tree

Hope For Victims is holding their Second Annual Holiday Remembrance Tree event. Friends, family members and advocates of homicide victims are invited to place their memorial ornaments on the Remembrance Tree in honor of the rights of victims and to recognize and remember the unnecessary loss of life.

The event is open to anyone who wishes to add an ornament to the tree. The Hope for Victims press release says this about the annual event.
“The Annual Holiday Day Remembrance Tree
serves as a reminder that our loved ones are missed every day of the year."

The connection between domestic violence and intimate partner homicide is sobering. According to the Family Violence Prevention Fund, more than 3 women a day in the U.S. are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

Hope for Healing.Org was honored to have partnered with Hope for Victims in collecting items for domestic violence and sexual assault programs in our local area. It was a small thing that we could do to support those who have lost so much.
