Stats from Nape Abuse Incest National Network indicate 1:6 women and 1:33 men will be sexually assaulted.
Domestic violence and sexual assault is fully preventable. Every statistic means that someone made a willful decision to deliberately hurt another person. Life doesn't have to be that way. No one ever deserves to be hurt.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline is the place to go to get help. They can talk to you and help you find resources that are near you. Calling is free and it's confidential. Don't let another minute go by without getting help. Call them. It's what they are there for.
