Strawberry Plains Festival. Old Fashioned Fun!

A resurrection of an older event, the 2008 Strawberry Plains Community Festival was a roaring success! The weather was nice. The turnout was great. Who could ask for more?

Event festivities featured music on 3 stages, a parade, crafts, yard sale and flea market vendors, food, face painting, games, inflatables and more! The New Market Fire Department handed out smoke detectors. Books were sold at the library.

Hope for Healing.Org was right in the middle of the action. We handed out domestic violence awareness information, sold hot dogs, sausage biscuits (sorry about running out!) and had a great sale in our thrift shop! When people needed to take a rest, our outdoor tables provided the perfect spot.

As soon as we can, we'll be posting photos. Many thanks to everyone who came and to all of our terrific volunteers!
