A lot of people don't know that purple ribbons support victims of domestic violence. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Can you help let people know about the ribbon by posting the above update to your status update? Tweet it, wear it and just tell someone. It is a good way to raise awareness in support of survivors.

The ribbons only take a minute to make. Form a 3" strip of ribbon into a single loop. Use a safety pin to secure it to your lapel. It is as simple as that to make. Instead of making one why not make several and give them to your friends?
