Status update educates on the names of sexual violence

Even in 2011, people are still confused about the differences between  rape, incest, date rape, statutory rape and marital or partner rape. The danger about this confusion is that it can lead to the minimization of all types of sexual assault. Any minimizing hurts victims.

This is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We've created status updates that will help you support survivors. All you have to do is copy and paste think onto the social media sites that you use. You can add the link to the blog posts on sites like Digg and StumbleUpon. Every step you take to get the word out helps educate others about sexual and domestic violence. And that education helps survivors. It's a win-win for all.
