Visit Us at the Oak Ridge District UMW Event at Jacksboro UMC

Today, about 80 United Methodist Women (UMW) from the Oak Ridge District of the Holston Conferencegathered at Jacksboro United Methodist Church. The UMW of Jacksboro graciously allowed us to display the Hope Quilt and have a booth at the event.

Because of their generosity we were able to talk with several women about our mission and share about our work. Two people purchased books. Several people picked up brochure bags that we left from Tuesday's training. The bags contain brochures from area agencies and domestic violence information.

I have to say that the UMW of Jacksboro UMC outdid themselves for meals. There were several different kinds of soup and an assortment of sandwiches. A couple of other churches pitched in to help with dessert. No one left hungry.

Many thanks again to the UMW of Jacksboro UMC. Your help makes it possible for us to help others. I had a good time at the event today. From the looks on the faces of others I think everyone else did too.

May God continue to bless you!
