Calling All Men. The Church Called. They Answered.

Calling All Men is a men's revival in Sevierville, TN. While United Methodist Men did attend the event is not strictly denominational. All men were invited.

This is the second straight year that the Calling All Men event was held. The revival gives men a chance to come together and worship. Enhancing the event were breakout sessions on different aspects of the theme "living a legacy".

I was impressed by the mood and tone of the conference. The attention to detail was perfect. From signs to men wearing vests of fire engine read that shouted "Ask Me!" it seemed that every detail was considered, reconsidered and taken care of.

The booth of Hope for Healing.Org was in the mission area. This proved to be a great way to talk to men who are interested in organization. We especially appreciate the interested in the items made by Hope Youth and the questions about the blogathon. We are proud of our kids and we very much look forward to our blogathon.

Other displays included the Boy Scouts, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tennessee, Tennessee Wesleyan College, the Holston Methodist Federal Credit Union, Cokesbury Bookstore, Holston Conference Disaster Response and more.

People asked me how the traffic was. The road leading to the events center was under construction. All I can say is that Calling All Men was worth the traffic delay. If you get a chance to go, do so. Better yet, in 2010, bring a friend.
