What a Wonderful Mardi Gras Night!

If you missed it you'll have to wait until next year.

We had a great time! Many thanks to all of our volunteers and board members. Mark Jackson is an A+ auctioneer. Terrific servers came from Trentville UMC and Marbledale UMC and community members came from everywhere to support our organization.

Bridges Funeral Home was our corporate sponsor of Mardi Gras 2008.

Chicken was courtesy of Bojangle's Famous Chicken and Biscuits. King Cake came from Gambino's in New Orleans. Seafood Gumbo came from Bayou Bay. DJ Music was provided by a local business.

We crowned a queen of the Mardi Gras Night and gave door prizes. Teens danced. Kids had fun with games.

Unfortunately, issues at the last minute that were beyond our control kept us from being able to offer the pinata breaking. Instead, kids were able to play games and grab handfuls of candy from the treasure chest.

Lots and lots of companies gave items for the auction and for doorprizes. Lots, and lots and lots of fun was had by everyone who came.

We would like to thank everyone who came out!

Planning for Mardi Gras 2009 beings now. Don't forget to set your calendars for the first Friday night in February next year. We'll see you at our Mardi Gras Night 5th Anniversary Celebration on Feb. 6, 2009!
