Sam's Clubs Gives $1000 to Hope for Healing.Org

Sam's Wholesale Club representative Sherry Arnold presents Gayle Crabtree, Executive Director of Hope for Healing.Org with a $1000 matching grant.

To support the community Sam's Wholesale Club offers a matching grant program. The most any organization can receive is $1000 in a calendar year. To get the full amount, the organization has to be able to show that they have raised $1000 during a qualifying fundraiser.

For the third straight year Hope for Healing.Org has done just that.

Mardi Gras Night is held annually on the first Friday night of February. This year, over $6000 was raised through a combination of donations and matching grants.

Hope for Healing.Org is the only social service agency serving all of Strawberry Plains, Tn. Services include helping victims of domestic violence, working with juvenile offenders in both Knox and Jefferson Counties, distributing free clothing to those in need, distributing Angel Food boxes, networking with a local church to provide food pantry boxes and more.

Services to be added in April 2007 include a hotline and the opening of a thrift store. Volunteers and donations are welcome. For additional information about Hope for Healing.Org please call 933.8769 or visit www.hopeforhealing.org.
