We're going to be getting ready for Ministry Day! Tomorrow (Saturday) we'll be distributing Angel Food, serving as a Restorative Justice worksite for teens serving court ordered community service hours AND we'll have the clothing closet open!
To get ready, we'll be moving and setting up tables, making space in the fridge for bottled water for the volunteers and tidying the clothing closet. If anyone has extra time come on down! We can use all the hands we can get.
We've had an especially hard time getting volunteers this go around. It seems everyone wants to be sure they're home for the University of Tennessee vs Alabama football game. A few others are at the beach for fall break and others are going to the mountains to see the leaves (if the road is reopened).
But we'll be here. The closet will be open and we'll be handing out food boxes. With a little luck, we'll all be home by gametime.
As they say here in Tennessee " GO VOLS! " (Sorry Alabama fans.)
