As those of you who follow Hope for Healing.Org (or read this blog) already know, we've been hoping to open a Thrift Shop for ages. We thought we had the ideal location but the building's owner had an insurance proble. Now, we think we may have found an alternative.
The Crafts and Collectibles Mall who donated space to us at their crafts show earlier this month is allowing us to rent space. Each booth there is rented by a different tenant. The tenant is responsible for keeping it stocked and looking nice. For 10% and a small monthly rental fee the Crafts and Collectibles Mall takes care of everything else.
To say we're excited is an understatement! When you are out shopping tomorrow stop by! We have just finished getting the booth ready. There are great, survivor-made, pins and earrings as well as some incredible scarves. These are perfect for holiday gifts!
Be sure to pick up a brochure or flyer about domestic violence or sexual assault while you are there. These are always free and there are always plenty. Take one for a friend too.
Don't forget to stop by,
Gayle
