Great Event!

I never fail to be moved by people's stories. Today was no exception. Many thanks to those of you who filled out a quilt square, picked up information or just said hello.

To the lady who kept apologizing for taking up so much of my time, this is exactly what we are here for. When you need to talk, we're here to listen.

To the lady who had to move because of her abuser, we'll be glad to help with the Criminal Compensation forms. Just let us know. We are honored that you chose to share your story with us.

I also want to thank those of you who bought a purple ribbon bracelet or necklace or made a donation. We made $55. Every little bit helps.

And of course, where would we be without our volunteers! If you came by, you met Sheilah. She is worth her weight in Gold. Thanks for covering the event for me while my daughter is hospitalized.

And Billy Bob of "Billy Bob's Bistro" thanks for taking the table back to the church we borrowed it from. I forgot I would be in the Focus when my husband brought it over in his truck. A lesson learned! :)
